Does anyone here insure their cigars or declare on their home insurance, I'm sure many of us here even if a single box isn't worth the amount required to declare (not sure what that limit is generally) the collection as a whole probably is, especially with some vintage or rarer sticks

I have insurance through Tesco bank. Covers single items upto 10k and whole upto I think 50k. This is on rare/collectables that don't leave the home.

No but could I claim for cigars destroyed by 'fire damage' every week?

No I didn't Wig, I never actually got round to updating my insurance.

Ha - I saw it first in the guardian so must be (not) true! As you said, if it's not, what a good myth!!

I rang my insurance company (Barclays) and they said they would be against theft, fire of the house and loss of out of the house... But, beetles, mould etc was too specialist for them!
