  • Leather or stainless steel travel cigar holder?

If we go out for the day or away for a couple of days I usually take a couple of sticks with me, just in case I have the odd half hour or so to sit back and watch the world go by. Normally I'll take either a couple of tubed Petit Coronas or put a couple of sticks in a cedar lined leather case if picked up in Havana last year. However recently i've been wandering if I wouldn't be better off getting a stainless steel one instead particularly if we're away for a longer period. Any suggestions, what to people take away with them?

      ^^^ As Oski recommends
A 5,10 or 15ct should cover most short breaks.

Arrived today, just in time for a couple of long weekends we have planned.

I think it will hold enough for a few days

Perfect btw, the wee CooYoo is ok for the money, though I've not used longer than a day out. Certainly protective.

I have one of those as well, and it does serve the purpose, but I still feel the Xikar is a couple of notches above, in terms of overall protection - specially if you're carrying more then half a dozen sticks.

I always generally put tubed sticks in there.

In that case, it serves the purpose entirely - I was referring to putting the singles there directly.

I didn't, however, know of the CooYoo... I'm thinking I may need one of those. The Xikar 15ct is just too big for the occasional weekend off.

I always find that the tubes work well when away also for situations where your out and about and you can just slip a couple in your shirt pocket fully protected.
