There are many things I enjoy about smoking a cigar but the one thing I really appreciate is that my daily routine comes to a dead halt; I'll take the time out to smoke a cigar, hopefully enjoying it and again, hopefully, with minimal interruption. The down side to that is that if I know I don't have the time or I will get interrupted then I won't light one up.

me time in my bubble.
add to than the wider sense of belonging to a group of people who enjoy a specific 'thing', despite it not necessarily being a 'team' thing!
I am epicurean at heart... it appeals to all of those aspects, as well as the admiration for a handmade thing designed for enjoyment."Dear heart, you're talking to a man- a real man- who drinks straight Tequilla, with lime and salt on the rim, and smokes cigars" (J Zavala)

The rich, fullness of smoke; the sociability of the experience; the room note is great (not that I smoke indoors, but that is great). The tactility of grappling with a phat one and the ritual of prepping for lighting springs to mind also. Smoking time is limited and usually social with a good friend, so I rarely get that 'me time' which is okay."Go you good things...geddem int'ya"

This is pretty much me, with the exception of the alone time, as more then half the times I smoke a cigar my wife smokes one with me.David
