I would think the first port of call would be to contact the supplier's customer services before posting pictures and replies on the forum. Going over various posts of yours since you've joined, you seem to have some sort of issue with Cgars and co. Can I ask if you have any further problems with their service, prices, auctions (etc) that you contact them directly.
Originally posted by Mike72Wow. It's actually on the banner on the top of this thread. "LOWEST PRICES IN THE UK GUARANTEED"
So, who is going to take them on about it?Originally posted by Mike72It's right or it's wrong. If they are not the cheapest then they should not advertise it as such. It's simply dishonest.Originally posted by Mike72Dear Moderators
I have found some disturbing comments re Mitchell Orchant and C. Gars Ltd on another forum.
I am allowed to post a link so that we can discuss it or will there be unhappiness from the moderators?Originally posted by Mike72That is not my intent at all.
I believe that the comments/accusations may be relevant as many of us are Mitchell Orchant and C. Gars customers.
Better to address it and move on or just to play like the comments/accusations were not made?Originally posted by Mike72I am not sure if that was direct towards me as I never mentioned any issues I had or if you are making a comment in general re service issues. Anyhow, I am a happy C. Gars customer and have spent a lot with them. Always had great service.
I am not sure how to read this. Are you saying that new member are not as valuable to the forum as older members? Are you saying that free speech does not apply to the new members? If this is a form of censorship or a threat then just come out and say it. I have no interest in participating is a censored forum or being threatened by the "Thought Police." If have have misunderstood your comment then I apologise.
That is why I asked before posting the link. I did read in the rules that promotion of other forums in not allowed, but this is in fact about a supplier many of us use and not about promoting another forum.Originally posted by Mike72They may "guarantee it", but it's not the case. There are others that are cheaper, but you have to point out the lower price and request a price match on each order.Originally posted by Mike72ouch! sellers are charged 15% + VAT AND the byers are charged 15% + VAT according to the PDF on the site.Originally posted by Mike72Hi Mitchell
While we have you here -
The retail price of current production cigar's in the UK is about twice the retail price of cigars from duty free shops elsewhere. Is the large price difference up to the Government's silly taxes or the cost of EMS imports and or cost of operating in the UK - property costs, minimum wages compared to the rest of the world etc? (not to mention any profitOriginally posted by Mike72Thanks for all the input.
I emailed C.Gars Limited last night at 19:59. Had a reply back from Mitchell at 20:06. He confirmed at 20:37 that he had arranged a replacement.
Great service from them as normal.
