Unfortunately I don't have a B&M shop near me, the closest I could get to cigar sales is bargain booze! :-( so online sellers only I'm afraid

Any other suggestions folks? The chaps at the banner shop have suggested a sampler pack, but all the cigars are unknown to me. If someone could give me one or two cigars for ?10 each to go with the Epi 2 I'd appreciate it :-)

Yow wont go wrong starting with a Cgars Ltd Petit Corona Sampler.

Sadly you wont be able to trade or buy from members until youve been around a while longer and got your PM's.

We cant discuss non UK sellers either- forum rules.

How about an H Upmann half corona or a Flor de Filipinas robusto from the banner shop as you so nicely described them. Not had the Upmann but the Flor de Filipinas is a nice light nutty smoke and goes well with coffee.

Thank you chaps :-) Will take a look, hoping to order this eve ready for the weekend.

PeeJay, something that pairs well with coffee would be perfect - I do like a good cup (Rocko mountain reserve from Foundry roasters is my current bean of choice).

Its the birthday of a good friend coming up soon and I'd like to get us each a nice cigar to celebrate with. We're both nonsmoker's, but he has expressed interest in cigars previously.

As this is a first toe-dip I'd like to try something quality, but easy going and am not sure where to start.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

              Best,
              Joe.
Hi Joe, good to hear from you and other than the Epi 2 that PJ mentioned, I would recommend the El Rey del Mundo Choix Supreme for a first cigar. Look forward to hearing about what you decide upon and your experience in due course.

I'm an epicure #2 fan also, for something nice also, the Olivia orchant selection is nice (only had the chubby but liked it a lot). Other than that, montecristo #4, Romeo y Julietta #3, H. Upmann petite corona (a lot of petite corona vitolas are around ?10 and a pretty good size for first smokes)

I think a Petit Corona is the ideal size for someone starting out, a robusto might be a touch too big. (Unless you already smoke pipes or cigarettes of course and then it may not be a problem.)

A Hoyo de Monterrey Petit Robusto might fit the bill.

Nobody reccomended the Trinidad Reyes? Sweet lord, the place is slipping. And please check your prices against mysmokingshop.

Unless your actually going abroad like some of the posts would allude to???

                      Will have a gander.

No, I'm not heading abroad - maybe to Prague over summer but nowhere sooner or more exotic.
