  • Boveda 65%

20150519_131402.jpg20150519_131421.jpgHello everyone.Today I received a parcel "Boveda 65% 60g" for my box and I have a questions. What is the expected time of humidification "standart 22 cigars box" for this pack and this is the right humidity for long term storage?

    Kind Regards

Just stick it in and see mate.

I use those, have 5 in my 100ct humi that is only half full and sits at about 62%.
Generally anywhere between 60-70% is fine, it's down to personal taste which side of the spectrum you lie on. I've read on other threads that 58-62 is best for aging, but I don't have the stock to worry about.

Is the humidor already seasoned? If so, how full is it?

RE the "long term" - everybody has their own preferences.

A 60g Boveda pack has my smaller humidors back on target in a few hours.

I put two 60g 69% in a glass lid 100 CT today that was bone dry. Up from 45% to 50% in 6 hours.

Thank you friend. Now I put the bag inside box, will see what happens. About"long term" 2-3 weeks, before I buy good humidor.

I have a 65 Boveda in my 20 CT humidor which has around 12 sticks in and it sits at around 68%

Is that accurate or is your hygrometer reading high Matt?

I have never noticed my Boveda packs going higher than their spec, but then again, I use boveda to calibrate my hydrometers.

If it's a new humi and recently seasoned I would imagine it's still settling down.

Hey guys. Yes it's still quite new (a few weeks old) and my hygrometer was -1% on the salt test. I'm happy with 68% though as not enough of an aficionado to notice the difference between 65% and 70%.

I think you will see a different result if you calibrate it with a boveda pack instead.

                          What hydrometer are you using?

A caliber 3. It was -1 on the 65 Boveda as well just in a Tupperware with it.

Before boveda pack my humidor show me 61-62% of humidity, I would like to raise the humidity. But after a week trying my hygrometer show me 61-62% with Boveda 60g 65%pack inside. About hygrometer: analogue and second digital works fine. I'm confused and I think put inside one or two boveda 69%.
