  • If I like these cigars what do I like? And what would I like?

    Hi,

So, new to cigars but fortunate to have had a good start and smoked a few over the last few months. This has given me an idea of the cigars I like and don't like so far. What I don't understand enough is what this means in terms of my palate and what it means in terms of other cigars I might like to try.

I've not really liked Romeo no 1 and 2, Cohiba Siglo 1 and 2.

So, so on Monte 4 and 5

I have really liked Partagas Series D and RyJ Short Churchill.

My absolute favourite has been the Partagas Series P No 2.

So, what kind of cigars do I like (in terms of flavour/palate)?

What kind of cigars should I look to try?

    Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you like the chunky cigars, the fun is in trying them all and finding what you like. I would suggest trying a bolivar BF.

Sounds like your a 50 ring gauge and up man, so no lack of choice. Try a Saint Luis Rey Regios.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

I think the big ring gauge is a newbie thing. Did the same but my preference is slowly coming down to around the 40 mark. Might be worth try some?

You don't mention what your budget is?

Same here, started with "bigger is better" but after just a few dozen i have changed my mind. All though the Monte Cristo Open Master is still up there, second to the Trinidad Reyes.

I'm new to cigars and i find myself trying cigars that get mentioned here if my tobacconist stocks them.

Now How did i come to trying a Bolivar? I wonder

Thanks for all the suggestions! Will be sure to try them out.

Am outside now smoking a Monte Edmondo which I am loving...

Take the point about liking larger cigars - would actually prefer to like smaller ones for a quicker smoke! Maybe my taste will develop
