Really interesting. I've not had any of the symptoms other than occasionally getting a bit light headed, but even then it's actually a pleasant sensation and I walk it off. I guess it does mean I don't really know what my limit is, so I'm sure one day I'll overdo it and it'll hit me all of a sudden.

Well what an interesting read!
I've had all of these on a good few occasions!
Through advice on here and experience I now don't smoke on anything like an empty stomach (those at the prince of wales last year will verify this...)
I'm not a big cola drinker but usually try and have something in stock "just incase" but I do tend to drop the offending smoke if things get dizzy early on.
I also seem to have relatively low blood pressure at the best of times so doesn't take much for me to get light headed anyway which probably doesn't help
Although a few of the smaller smokes have kicked me in the past, PL Montecarlos most recently! I do tend to avoid larger smokes, although i've had mixed reaction in the past. That's half the problem, it's a bit of a lottery

I actually quite like the nicotine hit and the slight light headiness. However recently I have had a bit of a lump in my throat with the past two cigars, one a Partagas D6, can't remember the other.
Has this ever happened to anyone? And was there a simple explanation? I haven't smoked more or less than usual
