It's a sign of fresh tobacco. The smell comes from a mixture of ammonia and whatever other volatiles that give that 'earthiness'. Every tobacco barn with fresh tobacco in it smells strongly of horse urine.

Correct. If it smells like cat's pee there's still too much ammonia. If it smells like something you want to take a pitch fork to it's getting there. When it smells less of shit and more of hay it's pulling into the station. And when it smells just of the barn it's arrived.

Smoked 2 other of the box and they were nowhere near as good as that first one. Quite dissapoint ing.
