Horse stable?

Im talking about Vegueros Entretiempos. A friend recommended them after smoking them at a tasting.
So today i purchased a box of 4.

They smell of horse stable, the kind that need some attention of pitchfork and shovel.

Hopefully they taste better then they smell, and i mean the bit that touches my mouth... know what i mean?

Yup. I've come across that. If the ammonia is very strong, it may indicate tobacco that's not been aged long enough. If it's just mild and fleeting, it's part of the profile.

My wife thinks a lot of cigars smell of dung, she is slowly starting to tell the difference. She liked the smell of the D4 tubo I was sent the other day, so did my granddaughter!

Not really dung nor ammonia, not strong nor disgusting. more like wet hay + horse manure + horse sweat. Like walking passed a farm and you smell the Horse stable. Not unpleasant but definitely not your average home fragrance. I'll be lighting them soon enough and post in WAYST... :-) What are you smoking today

Yep, barnyard, which can be an often recognised aroma. A 'ripe' smell.

I don't remember lady garden on the flavour wheel, but if anybody can point me in the direction of such a stick I may be tempted to buy a box, you know, just for research purposes [emoji48]
