            Lasioderma serricone.

And Scotland wouldn't worry them a bit, they'd be more than at home in a box of Scot's.

Tobacco beetles do not generally survive long in temperatures below about 5 degrees from what I've read. Re freezing, the eggs last about five days at -5, so make sure your freezers are proper cold. I freeze custom rolls and also had a contained outbreak in my regular CC stock a few years back, which affected about five sticks. The cigars were from around '09 which illustrates that freezing at source (if indeed it is done religiously and properly) does not always eradicate the eggs. I froze the whole contents of that particular humidor just in case there were any breakaways. My freezer sits at -19, and I'll let them sit for two days. Some people think three.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. I'm planning to buy mostly in Havana, but I may have to buy a few cigars in Varadero as well. Do you recall the name of the shopping mall, or the approximate location?

Thanks for the info and for the tip, a friend that went there last year told me the exact same thing about the bus worker... They try to resell the tickets to earn some extra cash.
