  • Small Weather proof.....smoking shack?!

    Two threads in one day!

I have a small outdoor courtyard (L shaped) and it's blowy, cold and gets sun maybe twice a day for an hour. I'm looking to rig up a temporary shack of sorts, nothing too permanent incase we move from out flat.(rented so csnt make anything fixed)

A wooden shed sounds like the easiest go to but I think that's a bit ott. Also as we're near fields it's a sesspit for storm flies (hundreds gather daily in the deep of summer, not kidding, and we get little tiny flies) and other nasties so I Imagine it being a haven for spiders.

Pretty sure nature can't be avoided but I thought I'd ask

Keep killing the spiders and they can't breed!

Invest in a shed as it'd be fairly easy to deconstruct if you move I'd say. Plus, keep the door open from time to time, letting the flies get acquainted with the spiders. Bonus If the flies get too much, keep the door closed and get acquainted with the spiders

a load of fly papers or just a spray to kill the bugs. The cigar smoke might actually repel them.

If its simply for smoking under, rig a tarp across the L?

Get hold of the cheapest wood shed you can, get a tarp and glue it to the outside of the roof with a couple inches of hang over.

Then get some oil candles / tiki candles and fill them with citronella oil. One in a while let some citronella burn in and around the shed and the beasties should stay away.

            Enjoy your cheap smoking shack.

Depending on how small a space your willing to smoke in you can get fairly small cheap sheds to fit bikes.... Should fit one man and a deck chair if needed.
