Cigars Without humidor

Hi,

I am getting a friend to bring me some cigars from Malta. Some fine old cubans on sale there. However, the friend in questions won't be back in London for almost a week. Do I have to worry that the cigars might dry out or take damage from lack of humidity in that time frame? How long is it safe to keep cigars outside a humidor in general?

Sealable food bags will work for a week or 2 no problem

Tell him to put them in a ziplock bag when he buys them from the shop and they should be fine for a few weeks.

Yeah clingfilm would work well but they may end up getting fingered going thru the airport. And by fingered I don't just mean pulled out of line

anything air tight would work for a week or two

Ask him to get them on the last day of his holiday and put them in a zip lock bag.
