I recently create a spreadsheet to see how much i've spent, but also to keep up to date what i have in the humi and what dates are my smokes especially the singles.

I was quite surprised i've spent over 1k in less that 6 months..I'm going to have to stop or keep my spending to a minimum for this year as we are buying a place and and a baby on the way...but there's too many temptations out there!!!!!!

Its a simple equation, if you can't afford it, don't do it because at the end of the day you're just burning money

Should imagine most if not all of us on the forum can afford it peejay
some can afford ? per month others ?? per month and some that are better off maybe ???
it's the total amount when we add it all up that's the frightening bit.

It's all relative to people's disposable income , one thing I will say though is it's a dangerous game if you bang it on credit . It's like burning twenty pound notes and if they're not your twentys best you stop now .

For anyone that's into golf Woburn has 3 courses you can choose to play on.

I have a credit card, but only use it to build up Avios and I repay the full amount every month, I don't think I've ever spent a penny of interest on it apart from when I paid off the wrong amount one month. But as a point of principle I agree using credit to buy cigars is madness and the only reason I would suggest some use it is to build up the rewards but to effectively use it as a debit card
WRT the cost of the hobby, I spent ?3,000 one year IIRC (it was a shock anyway) and as soon as I realised that I resolved to avoid box purchases outside of my regular rotation and any REs really blew me away, for anything else I would only split a box, and even then annoy everyone on here by trying to get less than 5 There are better things to spend one's money on

I don't reflect on how much I've spent. Otherwise I would have to make an appointment with a shrink.

                              Cost of the hobby

I don't worry about the cost because:

                              A) I only spend what I can afford without credit

                              B) I enjoy collecting and smoking cigars

                              C) I know I can sell stock reasonably quickly should I need to get my hands on cash

Think the majority of us spend what we can afford without credit
we enjoy collecting and smoking cigars
some don't worry about the cost and others do.
