  • Smoking times

Well when I started on cigars a junior corona lasted over an hour but smoking on just now and nearly finished one and only half an hour in.

Anyone else smoking time altered as time as progressed?

I'm a fairly slow smoker, it's something I'm extremely comfortable with. It's how I enjoy my cigars, slow and thoughtful.

Mo is a fast smoker and that's something he is very comfortable with. He likes big flavours and powerful nicotine..... And offten likes 2, 3, 4 or sometimes even 5 cigars in a session. And I know he thoroughly enjoys that.

I suppose it's a matter of horses for courses.

When I first started smoking cigars (especially large ones) I found them a little intimidating! Now I can just power through them with no issues, my smoking time has halved to be honest.

E.g. Romeo y Julieta Churchill 6 months ago would have taken me 60-80 mins but now around 45 mins.

We need to take lessons from laurence on how to smoke quicker reckons a robusto sized cigar is a good 25 minute smoke.

Wow Mr Lovegood, as the ladies might say in your life, what's the rush? A Julieta No2 takes me around 80mins after 18yrs of smoking Havanas, Wigan just took 2hrs on one of my Boli CG's. I know a lady who can finish a Cuaba Diadems in 80mins, takes me up to 180mins! We are all different & have our own natural pace but by slowing down a little more you should find you'll get more from your smoke & of course longer to enjoy the pleasure.

A party chico could take me two hours I'm that slow a smoker; but I'm fine with that, adds to the relaxation.

Couldn't agree more Simon , doesn't matter where cigars are acquired from bombs, gifts, duty free or ems the amount of care and attention and time and money put into them they deserve to be savoured , if time is limited have a perla

I am never in any rush to smoke but the last few smokes I have had, iv just really gone through them. I think it's because iv been smoking while watching cigar reviews on You Tube and subconsciously been trying to keep up with there cut down videos?

There is the thought that you should pace your puffs to about 60 seconds. Too fast can sometimes cause a hot burn (I know it'll be hot coz it's burning), leading to poor flavour or a scorched taste. Vigorous and rapid can also increase tarring. Of course, ol' Lawrence would likely kick this suggestion into touch as he proper chuffs ay

2 hours 20 mins at least plus just ordered some more of them

Reckon Lawrence smokes them like that all the way down? Bear in mind we only see him smoke the start. Tried doing what he does when lighting my cigar tonight and it certainly gets them going. I think he just does it to get them lit and going enough quickly to get a taste for the video. Then again he maybe just beasts them all the way down. Would sure love to have a smoke with the guy either way
