  • H.Upmann Jnr from the Supermarkets

Today i found that a well known supermarket chain stocks the H.Upmann Junior. Has anyone ever bought any of these as i can't imagine they get the tlc they deserve.

I have had a few. They aren't my cup of tea and have huge ammonia outputs when young.
Haven't bothered to age the gits myself...

I occasionally pick one up from Waitrose and smoke it on the walk home. They've always been fine, never dry.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

I've had them from the supermarket a few times, they're almost always a bit dry bit do seem to rehabilitate well after a few days in the humi. Same with the Punch Petit Coronations.

Had them from Asda a few times when I've been caught out and fancied a smoke.

Usually been on the OK side of dry, smokable but by no means at their best.

By contrast I also got impulsive and bought a Boliva Royal Corona from a display in a local off license (think it might have been a "Bargain Booze" ) which despite costing ?18 and clearly being abandoned in less than ideal conditions in an unloved display which had clearly not been restocked in years...

...was a bloody fantastic smoke. I'd normally avoid something like that (overpriced, and poorly stored) but glad I took a punt on that one.

Think i will try a couple then try one straight out the tube (if its not dry) and put one in the humi for a week or so. Will let you all know how it goes[emoji16]
