Think you have to have a bit of knowledge to run a cigar shop otherwise we woulden't last long in the buisness just my opinion.

My comment was more general sweeping than directed at LD.... I have no clue about his knowledge as I said, but just because someone owns a business we can't assume they "run" the business. He may well do, he may well be a top individual in the field of cigars..... I simply haven't a clue.

I cant stop watching his videos, think he is a cracking guy and certainly getting talked about on here a lot just. Anyone know him and can get him to comment personally. Would certainly cut to the chase

What's the point, is anything being said here of any actual value to the man? I would say not.



he's certainly a character and every industry needs those to thrive..... I'm pretty sure though I wouldn't direct newbies including myself to his videos as a tutorial or serious learning tool. In fact I see a couple practices there which I have either been told and gone on the agree with or found out first hand that simply ruin the smoking experience.

Haven't got anything bad to say about laurence, apart from the way he chews his cigars to nothing haven't met him yet or been in his shop but my son has
and said he's a nice bloke and a bit of a joker.
I like watching his video's to see what he says about the cigars he smokes
think he is the only one from most of the london's well known tobacconist's thats done reviews on cigars.

I have been watching this thread with great interest. As you know I was in the video being discussed, mainly because I walked into the store at the right time and had time to sit with Laurence and do three cigar reviews.

Knowing Laurence as I do he would be delighted to have UKCF do a herf at his store and I know you would find him most hospitable. If anyone is interested in a herf either one evening or Saturday morning (and numbers are likely to be limited to about 8 - 10) please put your names here and I will see what I can set up.

I'd be interested as well, I'd prefer a week day evening as I travel into London Monday to Friday so prefer to avoid going in on a weekend, but will go along with a Saturday if that's everyone else's preference
