Yes, would agree with the Monty 4, and would also add the Hoyo DeMonterey Petite Robusto.

Great guide mate, pleased that you've taken the time to write it all out. When I write a review it normally takes a good 30 minutes of thinking, checking, adding photos etc so I can understand how long it took you to write the whole guide out. Nice idea, keep up the good work!
Maybe the forum admin guys could add it as a separate thread heading/discussion heading all on its own so newbies can see it easily? I don't know, it's just an idea but either way good work matey!

Good read - some basics that I was already aware of plus a lot of stuff that I wasn't. Especially keen to hear of recommend smokes for a newbie. Once my humidor is seasoned and ready I'll be looking to start filling with a variety of sticks over time.

Something for us all there... Always good to share perspectives, and this makes the whole topic very accessible. Well played VTG!"Dear heart, you're talking to a man- a real man- who drinks straight Tequilla, with lime and salt on the rim, and smokes cigars" (J Zavala)

Really good read, thanks VTG. I have learned so much about the finer points of a cigar and how to fully appreciate one. With the exception of it tasting of hay, I get the creamy, coffee and chocolate taste, but as I have never eaten hay....well you know. But as you say a lot of this is personal preference I.e. Leaving the band on and removing ash you have hit the nail on the head and quite rightly so.Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment as you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it!
