  • Cigar Trend 2014

Been looking at the cigar realease for 2014 and what some members are buying ,think it's going towards big is beautifull.
We all like different brands and different guages and length of cigars
but would members agree that big guage cigars become boring when your looking over 90 minutes of smoking.

For me, it's more than the cigar over that length of time. Good company and conversation, whilst being a distraction if you're looking to concentrate on flavour or profile, makes that 90 minutes feel like 60
    "Go you good things...geddem int'ya"

Think you need some time on your hands to actualy start and finish say a lusitania or a 1966.
Hour tops is more than enough for me to enjoy a stick with a drink.

Hour is a good time for me too. Corona and Robusto are my go to; depending on the type then maybe a Toro or a Grand Toro. Anything bigger than that and I don't enjoy it.
To really enjoy and focus on a cigar, I need to be on my own, with some music on, and a coffee or a whisky

I would smoke something longer if I am with friends in the bar or lounge, but I don't tend to focus on savor the taste as much.

When summer comes round i like the bigger boys because your relaxed and warm and not just thinking i cant wait to finish this to get back inside the warm house

As someone who generally smokes by himself with a nice drink I feel that anything over 90 minutes would be a bit much for me.

With mates and booze flowing, get the SLRDC's out!!

My Punch DC took a pleasant 2hrs yesterday as the hail came down on the roof, of the giant gas fire heated plastic tent, outside the soul bar. I had the whole afternoon & evening to kill. So no it didn't seem too long or boring (had a SP Sanchos once that certainly) , it was great not to have to rush the end (don't you hate that?). Make sure you chose the cigar to the time available & as CJ said, if you have the pleasure of some company, time just flies.

That tent outside soul is pretty handy...they sometimes put a tv out there.

Agree when smoking in the company of other cigar smokers such cigars would fit in better
than when one is smoking alone with a drink .

Red, the TV seems to be perm now. They only had one heater on & low but kept it reasonable, when even the Old School House would have been miserable in those conditions.

pick a cigar for the time you have available would seem like common sense
at home for me shorter smoke party shorts or longer smoke robusto size
on holiday sat around a pool all day it would be rude not to enjoy the pleasures of a larger cigar like a DC
