some reason its dropped to about 63 now? Think I took the 67 reading to quick and it wasn't a real reading. Is 63 to dry for it? Ahhhhhh the science to this god damn hobby!

Just leave it alone it will be fine? Some humans would do anything to see if it was possible to do it. If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.?

Had to revisit this as went away and couldn't stop thinking of going through this not that long ago. At one point I convinced myself the inside of my humidor had too much moisture absorbed and took all my (cheap and nasty starter) sticks out and put in sandwich bags whilst I sat the open humidor in front of the fire. Went online bought a digital hydrometer and, what turned out to be, a really crappy xikar unit rated for 250 sticks thinking my little stock of 10 or so sticks was to much for what I had to handle. lol
Now I barely even glance at the reading. Grab a stick, have a squeeze and a sniff, say to myself yep that`ll do, and spark it up.
So you see your not alone mate and I am sure I am not the only other member to go through a newbie panic. This hobby is about relaxation and satisfaction so like I said before just chill it will all be ok.

Now, as some of the forum "experts" have noted, 60% is doable, but for my taste, I prefer NOT to let the humidity get below 65% or raise above 70%. But it all hinges on the accuracy of your hygrometers.
All my hygros are digital units which can be calibrated...and I calibrate on a regular basis using Boveda One-Step Calibration packs.
But that's just me...
