I have a similar Xikar punch (without the rhinestones 😜 ) and really like it.

I'm still considering a Credo though just to have the ability to punch slimmer sticks.

Seems fine TJ , hasn't let me down yet , although I've been going through a stage of cutting lately , change is as good as a rest as the saying goes

I stupidly bought some 'scissors' off Ebay..big mistake, they look good but, they tear the cigar, rather than neatly cut it..

oh ya. those are absolutely horrendous.

Get yourself to the BnM and pick up a good pair of scissors. Cigar scissors are honestly my favourite items if i need a straight cut. Otherwise, all glory to the punch!

Wow! They certainly do look the kit, but I've found that most scissors are for show not go.

                  Love the Cornish piskie charm!

I could do with a tiny little knife like that!

                  And the punch!

In fact, just send me the lot, and I can nip round and have a look through your humi while your out!

Normally punch, or guillotine cut depending upon mood.

Have a key-ring punch and a Xikar Xi2 that get most use, also have a massive stash of various cheap/plastic cutters acquired over the years if I'm going out and about.

Hi guys, new to the forum.

For some reason I have never liked the guillotine cut, never happy with surface, always seem to get an convex surface no matter how quickly/gently I cut. Always loved the punch cutter but don't go cheap.
Always loved the v cut but this is something you have to invest in, like conversations on scissors, don't go for the cheap eBay option. Recently got a collibri v cut and have to say it is far the best cutter I have ever purchased, clean and precise. Exactly what you need to enjoy your stick.

+1 on the Colibri V Cutter and I too have noticed a tendency to get a convex cut even with a good quality cutter. However when punching three times a day on holiday I ended up burning my tongue to room for variety I feel.

Find that myself peejay when punching a cigar for a change get slight tongue burn
think it's to do with the smoke passage not going through the cigar and build up of or tar

first used a V cutter back in the day, but always since have used a cutter, just the cheap plastic ones , throw them away when they are not sharp, that's because I bought an expensive gold plated one that went blunt very quickly
think lucky and you'll be lucky

I saw some on eBay yesterday for under ?3 delivered, would be worth checking if you like it before splashing out on something decent.
