    Bombing - Why?

    I've been wondering about this a bit in the cigar world.
    Where did it come from?
    Why's it called bombing?
    I love it- I love going to the post office, knowing that someone somewhere has a little package of goodies on the way to them.
    Similarly, I love that fantastic phrase....... "something came for you today in the post..... it's on your desk"...
    Why is it all such goddamn fun?

    I must admit this has crossed my mind too, I love popping those little parcels in the post, especially when it's a newer member or if a BOTL has helped you out in some way and you want to say thanks.

          A cigar bomb is where one BOTL (Brother of the leaf), sends another BOTL a package of cigars (no prescribed limit - whatever you fancy), for no apparent reason.
          This can be for no reason at all, it can be because you've been talking to someone about certain sticks and they've expressed an interest in trying some (and you just happen to have some you don't mind sharing), it can be to cheer someone up, it can be to cheer yourself up.... The reasons are pretty much endless..
          At the end of the day, it's a random act of kindness that makes everyone smile - the person sending, the person receiving and the whole community when pics are posted.

              That's because this is the nicest forum Jonny. We have the occasional spat but no one bears a grudge and no one gets any abuse. Everyone's opinion is valid regardless of how daft it might seem and there is no such thing as a stupid question. Stick around and you'll see.

                    It is great bombing the feeling of sending and recieving more the thought that when someone sends you something they have actually taken note you will enjoy what they are sending you
