Punch Sabrosos

Anyone tried the Punch Sabrosos?

Its an Asia Pacific regional exclusive.
Found a review of it online but was wondering if anyone on the forum has tried it and what they thought?

I liked it but found it slightly less impressive than the Punch LE torpedo. It's going to need a few more years to really shine. I bought a box to age, won't touch it for another 3-4 years at least.

Hard to agree with the second part when the first part is very true. The Punch LE13 is great on its own merit. I'd probably get that before anything Punch as they won't be around soon.
Everything else will be slow to dry up.

Side note: The Punch Royal from Benelux is a great cigar. Probably the best Punch i've ever had and a great price at 12 EUR each. With how the ECB is handling things right now, it'll be a great Christmas present to the folks back home!

Yeah, but where the LE is great now, I don't know if age will make it that much better - the LE's don't tend to have the legs for longer term ageing, to my taste, and the Punch struck me as one that isn't going to be too much better than it already is now in 5-10 years.

However, the Sabrosos was very all-over when it first came up, discombobulated in the flavour profile and delivery, a classic example of a cigar with something to say but not ready to say it. Smoking it now, you can see it's good but it still has more edges to refine and more flavours to come into focus - I honestly think it will ultimately be the better cigar of the two, but you'll need to wait for it. Again, to my taste

Yeah, the Punch Royals are fantabulistic. That's why I bought me a box in Amsterdam...even WITH the wife nearby, raising an eyebrow at my purchase amount LOL
