Does anyone know if there is a way of deciphering the coding on a tin of HUHC to know the age?

The date coding is on the Outer for packs and tins.
And does the age really matter with HUHC, they were only released a year or so ago, so a best they're 2 years old, at worst were rolled last week .... not that either scenario will make any difference, aging them forever won't improve them IMO.

Thanks tippexx, I bought both a box and a tin a bit ago and there was considerable difference in taste between the 2. If I had any left from the tin I would send you one to try and convert you but I went through them pretty quick. I may be wrong but I think its coming up to 4 years since they were released (2011?)
When you say outer do you mean when you buy the 5x5 packs of tins as I only bought a single tin. A mistake soon to be corrected
