  • Cigar to make you feel better.

Having a Crap day/evening at work and just thinking about what I'm going to smoke when I finish to cheer me up...... So what's YOUR pick me up cigar? Or what would you reach for in this situation?

I'd have a Monte 2 myself peace and quiet and chill out but I haven't got that much knowledge of other fine cigars

Cigar to make you feel better.

Something classic, worry free and solid.

Mainly due to my stock rotating so frequently it's hard to say what.

Favourites that I go too have been Reyes, Monte 4, (not tried this in England) petit robusto.

If you have a bit more time on your hands a CoRo, monte 2 (can't go wrong) Epi 2.

          I dunno it's such a personal choice haha [emoji4]

Probably an RyJ Short Churchill or Cohiba Maduro 5 Secretos as I've yet to have a bad one of either.

Partagas D4, E2 or P2 ... Or even the Short. I'd say any Partagas, but there are still quite a few I haven't tried. Having a D4 right now and it is bliss. It tastes fantastic and smells amazing.

Otherwise, any cigar which doesn't taste like crap can lift my day. I love the ritual of preparing a cigar - checking it over, the cut (or punch) and then lighting it. I enjoy the first taste, familiar or surprising, and the anticipation of how the taste will develop. I love watching the smoke curl upwards. I love catching the smell. Above all, I appreciate a past time which requires me to take a bit of time out of busy day to reflect and ponder and meditate. That can cheer me up and put everything in context, or pat me on the back for a job well done. Can't think of a better way to finish any day - good or bad!

Anything, if I can get home and manage to smoke a cigar its enough to lift my mood. 30 minutes to an hour of me time, what more could I need?

BHK, Punch RE, apart from those obvious, I'd also like a 2009 Petit Bolivar Belicosos... Hmmm....

Tough Exam tommorow, followed by a long drive (hopefully not too long if I pass!) with a nice drink and a smoke waiting at the end. Got 3 different infamous cubans that I bought in Istanbul back in June that Ive yet to try. Reading this thread got me thinking, what shall I choose?
