  • Cigars in the Press...

As a cigar writer, I'm interested in what the cigar public reads and wants. I'd appreciate a quick note on your preferences; which magazines do you regularly read, do you subscribe to any or where do you buy them from? What is currently not being offered that you'd like to read about? Thanks for your input.

Is there anything to read about cigars in the UK? I can't find anywhere that even stocks Cigar Afficianado

I read a great little article once on how to turn a Bolivar dress box into a padded work basket, but that was in Creative Needlepoint!
If you want to, you can.

Interesting. I write on cigars for The Arbuturian and regularly for Cigar Journal; occasionally for other mainstream press. Specialist magazines are usually only available through distributors like C.Gars Ltd. If some of you are interested, I can dig out subscription details for Cigar Journal so you can get it sent directly to your door?

Allow me to play the straight man; and you were reading this fine periodical...because?

.... the finer points of the Beyaeaux Tapestry have always been of interest, so non partisan I've always thought!

Okay, will do so. If enough of you are interested in taking out a subscription, I'll try and cut a deal with them.

                  Most cigar shops stock it?

I'm with Sean, the forum and net give me what I need. Magazines fill a niche for me in relation to Cycling, Fishing and HiFi.

Beyond that, things like National Geographic, Life, New Scientist and Regional County Magazines hold an occasional interest, I hate to say it but a publication solely dedicated to Cigars would probably bore me pretty quickly.

I would buy a good cigar & lifestyle periodical. Those ones cgars ship gratis with orders are just ads and society pictorials. I am not interested in that:

If I could make a suggestion, the myth of the finest Havana puros being lovingly rolled on the firm, tanned inner thighs of beautiful young virgins is definitely worthy of a serious piece of investigative journalism & THOSE photos are ones worthy of the print

                            Just a thought
