I'm sitting in work listening to a young guy going on about how much more pleasurable smoking a cigarette was at high altitude in the Rockies, blah blah blah, but was wondering if this is actually true. Has anyone smoked a cigar at high altitude and did it make a difference?

Oxygen deprivation effect?Three Laws are:
- A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
- A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
- A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

When I was a traffic cop I used to tell the occasional oik that they had an altitude problem and when they said 'Don't you mean attitude' told them they were getting above their station. It amused me, ho hum. tumbleweed.jpeg'Cigars are a hobby, cigarettes an addiction'

I watched a program a few months back with TV Chef Heston Blumenthal and the prog was about the food they serve on planes and they said that they need to ad extra salt and pepper in the recipes to make it taste better as the pressure / altitude or reduction in oxygen did something to the blood and or taste buds.
This may make a smoke more smooth or enjoyable less ruff ???
