That looks a good shout. I have one at home with the word encyclopaedia in the tittle somewhere. Cant remember exactly what its called gf got me for birthday but its pretty dam good. Will check the title when I get in. Not long now, I`m finished at 6am as well

Have a look on Ebay, there's a couple of good little ones knocking around that are a bit out of date regarding modern releases but a good read for the history and background. You can also pick them up cheaply on Amazon. I'm at work at the moment so can't feed you the titles.

Also try AbeBooks.co.uk for second-hand and used books.

Or if you want to re-mortgage your house you could go for Min Ron Nee's Encyclopedia.

You have to find one too.

+1 on that, just ordered Habanos: The Story of the Havana Cigar by Nancy Stout for half the used price at Amazon

Been a hectic few days so sorry I haven't managed to get you the titles I have. I've got a decent collection going and all have some great info in them. I will get on it tomorrow!

Here is my current selection of books. Most of them picked up pretty cheaply from eBay. I can reccomend each one as I've found good info in all of them. The Churchill one is quite a fascinating read.

I found The World of the Habano is a good read, although it didn't contain any information that you can't find through internet articles, great for a beginner. The Great Factories is a fantastic read and covers an area that you wouldn't necessarily know about - at least I didn't know about the history of the various factories

MRN is an unbelievably comprehensive book, but as has been mentioned difficult to find, and expensive if you do find one, unless you speak German - I managed to pick one up for a fraction of the price

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Cigars, 2nd edition is a pretty good book for beginners and some so-called Aficionados, alike.

I had 'Cigar Cool' delivered today. I hadn't originally planned on getting it as I thought it looked a little cheesy, but it came up for a couple of quid on EBay so I thought why not. I'm glad I did actually, its content is rather good. It covers some aspects overlooked by the others. Worth a copy if you see one come up cheap.
