Double Corona was a 2001 LE if memory serves.

Is there anything obvious about them apart from the year?
What I mean is there anyway of telling at a glance without having intimate knowledge of the back catalogue?

-There is no Montecristo tube besides the Tubos and Petit Tubos Edit: edumundos, opens
-There is no Montecristo Double Corona besides the LE that Dave mentioned.

Those two are the main ones but there are other signs, too.

about this cigar without prior knowledge, it looks like a VERY good fake.

Even went to the lengths to get the dark wrappers the LEs all have.

he used a filter - harder to distinguish now...

But everything looks right if you ignore the vitola. The band looks okay, LE and Montecristo (perhaps the MC band is a tad darker and thicker, but that may just be the photo filter), there's a triple cap, wrapper looks like a standard LE wrapper. Everything is done quite well..........
