  • Wedding Cigars

So my brother is getting married at the end of October in Cyprus about 100 or so people flying over and another 50ish from over there as the best man and his older Brother I would like to get a box of cigars for the day and I thought I would get the opinions of you fine chaps and some of you not so fine chaps

so I will be buying the cigars from over there as I really do not feel like taking one of my boxes over for a bunch of drunks to smoke half and leave in a ashtray some how it does not feel as bad buying a box for them to do that

they will be bought from a LCDH and I will also be smoking them as well so please don't suggest any thing to rubbish,I have a couple of things in mind but remember they will probably be quite young and being smoked by people who don't normally smoke

the floor is open for suggestions

Vega Fina perla are €2.5 each and would fit that bill perfectly

+1 on these. The VF's I have had have been nice smooth and mild smokes, and at the price point are perfect.

Most of these threads I've read ended up recommending some of the smaller Cuban tubes. Bolivar, Monticristo etc because people want to smoke a "cuban", the tubo can be a momento of the wedding and there small enough not to take 2 hrs to smoke.

Is say one of the following...
            R&J Wide Churchill
            Hoyo DM No.1
            Bolivar Belicossos Finos
            Montecristo No.2
            Cohiba Robusto
            or Behike 52

              x2 on that.

              MC Petit Tubos
              Bolivar No. 1
              RyJ No. 2

I'd go for the RyJ No.2 tubed.

For my wedding I got BKH52s for me and the best man, then some RyJ Wide Churchills for a couple of other lads than actually smoke cigars.

I had a few spare cheap NCs for those that don't normally smoke (or buy) their own and wouldn't know a decent cigar if it kicked them in the head

                  Hope the wedding goes well

Rafael Gonzalez Perlas. Very good cigars for the price, shouldn't be more than 3 euro each. While they seem small to cigar smokers, for people who don't normally smoke they are absolutely big enough.
Also, the white box even looks "wedding-y".
Tubed cigars are handy too, Hoyo Coronations, along with the recommendations above.

Simon, I would say this is a good selection for the Groom & best man not for the avge never smoked a cigar/ occasionally smoke guest. Behike's all around, what budget are you proposing!

Monty 4, or Bolivar petit coronas...

Don't forget the non cigar smokers wont have cutters, lighter etc and will probably need a hand to make sure they don't cut too much off the cap

I defiantly agree something decent for the "top table" and those that would appreciate it but for the rest how about a Guantanamera mini tubos, not great I know but -

                            1. They can still say they got a Cuban cigar
                            2. They can keep the tube as a memento
                            3. They are already punched so you wont have to assist everyone doing that
                            4. They are only 1.30 Euro
                            5. Small enough for people to stick in their top pocket
                            6. Big enough to seem a decent size to a none cigar smoker
                            7. The cash saved can be used for something really special for the people that understand a good cigar
