if the exports are frozen then I suppose there's a possibility of of insects remains in any cigar?

freezing degrades the flavour and texture of food, i wonder if it is detrimental to the flavour of tobacco?

I'd say the low water content would make it unlikely. It's the cells breaking when the water expands that fucks food up.
On the freezing thing, why bother freezing cigars if they are to remain in the country which the bugs live in. I guess.

Although I'm not sure how the oils react. Obviously not notably adversely because as it seems unless we buy them from Cuba directly they've all been frozen anyway

Freezing food twice isn't a good idea though. I still think above freezing temperatures would suffice but that's old ground and well documented..... Plus I don't feel like winding rascal up tonight.
