I read this at 23:00 last night, and became as paranoid as Donald Trump that my beloved were secretly hiding these creatures of the apocalypse! 
This made me check the thermo's several times, then realise it reads 22 degrees, suddenly i am turning off radiators, opening windows, and dragging an ottoman (the furniture, not a Turkish chap) into the coldest rooms and throwing my sticks into it!!!!
However, i then read that all sticks exported from Cuba are frozen before hand, so i do not need to worry about the beetle beasts- but for the sake of my sanity can someone please (once again) confirm or deny this for me??
Meanwhile I think I need to smoke some Valium...
Only the impossible is worth the effort.
