Yeah there was two beetles infact. Didn't get a picture though. They're easy enough to see though.
Apart from the one in the picture the others just have a whole in them. One did have a lot of dung in them though. If an excessive amount comes out after freezing in the bin they go. The one with the larvae in has already been burned.
Yeah I thought the pictures would be helpful as I haven't seen them on here before [emoji4]
Gutted for you. Interesting forum material though!
the thought of smoking up some bugs & bug shit is revolting
if the exports are frozen then I suppose there's a possibility of of insects remains in any cigar?
freezing degrades the flavour and texture of food, i wonder if it is detrimental to the flavour of tobacco?
This had crossed my mind with the degradation of flavour. Also the smoking bugs and there poo dead or not is unappealing. At worse I've lost 5 cigars so not a massive loss but still unfortunate.
Aye. But I've rarely seen those beetles back there.
Normally people get them hatched when they're back home.

Box of Monte 4's I bought in the airport was sealed and I wanted to open it before I bought it. Language was a bit of an issue but it was a completely foreign concept too them opening it too look at them. She just thought I wanted to see what a 4 looked like
I would have frozen anything not brought in a Casa from Cuba but I didn't know they weren't freezing the Habanos sold in Cuba. Guess I was lucky then as they went straight in my Humi on my return Guess the moral is freeze everything!
