Regular members will remember that I smoke in a corner of my garage during the winter. With MLW's blessing I have hired a van for two hours on Wednesday to get a load of boards cut at B&Q to board out my shed and make it more weatherproof. I will then be transferring a whole load of crap from my corner of the garage and tarting that up so my smoking corner will double in size. There will be photos.

I converted a small summer house (which we didn't really use) by insulating it, having elecricity connected, installing wired internet under the lawn, heating etc. It's not very big and doesn't look much like a mancave from the outside, but it does the job.

Very nice set up! If I couldn't smoke in the house whenever I wanted this would be my way forward

Thanks. I can't smoke in the house and I'm bloody glad I have it now the evenings are getting cooler.

Would be worth getting some celotex to insulate void first so it's nice and snug 50mm is equivalant to about 500mm of rockwool you can get it in 25 mm sheets if the shed stud is fairly thin

I'm not insulating the shed, I'm making it weatherproof for storage. I will be adding insulation to my personal space in the garage though, my fan heater was struggling last winter.
