Whenever buying online its always best to go with what you know and trust, or if that isn't an option its to ask around a number of people who you trust to see if anyone has used them before, a number of people on here have a wealth of knowledge and experience and are only a PM away
If arranging a split I would suggest its best practice to let anyone interested know where they're coming from (via PM if necessary) so that they have the opportunity to look into the company before agreeing to anything
A bit late this time I know, but this could easily be avoided in future!

P.s. I was obviously being facetious... Jizza I think this is going to need a response mate. Tommy put considerable trust in you here, an I for one would struggle to do splits with you after this.... pending a reasonable explanation.Licky Licky before Sticky Sticky. - Puff Scotty 22/03/14

Did you, by any chance, pay about 280 euro for these?
I'm sorry for your trouble, the money and whatever else this might cost you but that should have been your first warning.
Those cigars are 330 euro for 10 in Spain.
A spanish retailer, already breaking spanish law by sending cigars out of the country, won't be charging less than retail.

Ryan, I do t know what they cost tbh, I paid jizz 220 CD for half then another 220 for half another box split but ended up with most of the 1966. I think they were ?300. Edamski, thanks for the words.
I feel I should say that I don't think butters knew this would happen and he clearly isn't about today to put his 2c worth in so I'm starting to feel bad about talking about him behind his back but this is an open forum so it's all in the open really. Jez, when you do get to read my PM and this thread I hope you understand that I am pretty pissed but not baying for blood. I want you to take this one for the team, I feel that this was your deal and your fuck up so I'll send you the cigars back mate, I don't want anything to do with them. Contact me when you've had a chance to read all this to discuss how to put this right. As a gent you are gonna have to open your wallet and pay me back. I'm also a gentleman but this is too much. If you can't pay me in cash I'll take the rest of the other box we split in this deal and you can have the 1966. And that should be all I need to say.

Ryan is absolutely correct. The site which I'm going to call CTO and it's owner are notorious for this sort of thing. Monkey is also correct in that some info can be found in our 'Search', but unless you know precisely what to look for, it's not all that helpful.
Butternut — who going by his past endeavours ought to have known better — should take responsibility for this, although I would think the chance of any reimbursation or genuine exchange from the vendor in question is non-existent.
I'm sorry for your loss Tommy, but splits and buys of high-end cigars are possible and happen quite frequently. It's all a matter of who you team with and who you buy from.If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

This place has been selling fakes, and sometimes a mix of fakes and legit, for more than 10 years.
An US based cigar board even used to have a sticky about it on the front page of the cuban cigar forum.
How people can purchase from this place when a simple question to a veteran of ANY cigar forum would avoid making a mistake, always surprises me…
