I'm hosting a new series of Cigar Pairings at Boisdale Canary Wharf...

Ladies and Gents, I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by posting this here, but I'm sure someone will steer me right if so!

I'm pleased to announce that I will be hosting a new series of cigar pairings at Boisdale Canary Wharf in the coming months, kicking off with a cracking event on Monday September 29th (all details available here). If any of you have ever heard George speak before, you'll know he is not to be missed

Future evenings have yet to be announced, but will run around the third Wednesday of each month and I'm hoping to get some really cool people over to chat to you about cigars and how they make 'em. The first few events will focus on New World sticks - as I think tastings for these are currently too few and far between.

The general plan is get a few like-minded enthusiasts together for a drink and a laugh and hopefully we'll all learn something we perhaps didn't already know. I'd be delighted to catch up with forum members at the events if you're in the area - make sure you come and say hello. Thinking about it, if enough forum members want to attend, I'll see what I can do about getting y'all the members ticket price...

Spotted these evenings only this morning on the Boisdale website (was hunting to find out if they were expecting to have grouse in from the north in time for dinner on Tuesday...)

They sound jolly good, and if I ever happen to be about London on the right night I shall endeavour to include these evenings in my schedule.

Well, I sadly won't be in North Yorkshire myself, so I'm having to develop a plan B... Still waiting to get a definitive answer from them, but I recall that they usually make a big deal about having it on the menu before the Glorious Twelfth is finished...

Right now I'm off to pack for Croatia - the World Cigar Smoking Championships. I kid you not! Will be reporting for Cigar Journal website over the weekend, so take a peek...
