  • One of those cigar situations .... I have

a Romeo y Julieta 2004 LE Hermosos No 2 sitting in my humi, but that's it, just the one. I'm tempted to smoke it, but don't think I've seen anything posted recently from anyone to suggest it's worth it. On the downside, if it is any good these seem to have crept up in price and will cost ?20 to replace (www.mysmokingshop.co.uk).

I've never smoked one .... any thoughts or recent experiences?

This may not help much but if it were me I would smoke it. For me if something is an unknown and you only have one then give it a go. You then have first hand info that will help you decide future purchases. However that is coming from someone that doesn't really collect cigars. I have a bit of variety but that's not a collection it's just a varied box of smokes. If you are trying to get a singles collection together then maybe you are better off trying to replace it before you smoke it.

I don't collect RE or LE either Tommy. I just don't like putting a flame to something I've only one of .... I don't what's worse, to find out it's crap or to find out it's a goodun' .... a little prior info just helps with the decision to reach for a lighter.

Oh I will, I'm far more inclined to smoke the crap ones and save the gooduns' .... I'm the same with food, I eat the bits I least like first and save the best for last!

            Smoke it.
If you don't smoke it, you'll always have it, but never know how good/bad it is.
If you do smoke it then either
            a) you'll hate it and you've just saved twenty quid on another one
            b) you'll love it and will know to buy two next time........

Yeah I'd be more inclined to put off smoking a special cigar unless I have more of em. Its tricky but is still re comment smoking it pal, you could get more if its really worth it. Supprise fly I've only ever smoked one or two RyJ's. I'll try more, they're a generally mild brand no?

Yes, nice and mild Tommy .... I recommend you start on something gentle .... Cazadores, Belicosos or PC should do it!

Ahh I think I have a PC which was gifted to me so maybe I'll give it a go right now and share thoughts.

.... I was kidding on the Caz and Beli .... they are brutes, you should be OK with the PC, but 2014s have upped a gear .... don't smoke it fast if you have one of those!

Get it smoked and reviewed Arf! A review from an unbiased pallet is often the best kind.

On RyJ in general, they have never massively caught me.... The Petit Princes and Julietas have stood out the most to me up until now.

I hear that old RyJ was much better, but I'm not sure by what people mean by old?
