you'd be surprised... i know i was.
when i was in cuba, the gents i was with (some Albertan friends i met there who smoked only occasionally) decided to go buy 2 boxes of fake RyJ 2s. they were obvious fake tubes with defective caps (even more so). i was surprised by the level that they went to to fake tubes. even small strips of cedar (looked like redwood) in them.

perhaps Castro took after Mao and got the Cubans to work aluminium mills in their backyards??

Addendum: I really tried to dissuade him, but he went to go sample one of the fakes, liked it, and bought it for 75 pesos. I shat on him for a bit because a box of Half coronas is 80 pesos and he would've enjoyed those MUCH more.
