I always do this a few times a cigar - I can't get the full flavour otherwise. It turns a smoke into an experience...sometimes....other times it's still just a smoke.

Personally would've went with a Siglo III or an Exquisito. but those are hardy 'celebration smokes'!

Easy way to retrohale: When the smoke is in your mouth, imagine it's water and swallow as you would when drinking water. Viola, you've just retrohaled. You already know how to do it, it's just your conscious mind is yet to realise!

Its an excellent way to describe it but Debbie still doesn't think I could do it because I have to put tablets right to the back of my throat and flush them down whilst she can swallow six in one go.

I dont have a problem taking tablets just them cheap horrible chalky parecetemol so hopefull can master it properly soon

I normally wait on the retrohale until I've sampled a good bit at the start to see if the cigar is good, retrohaling a harsh smoke kills the rest of the experience for me.

As others have said, some flavours you can only detect using the technique.
