That's an interesting point which tbh I'd not really considered....

Bolivar Lonsdale ueber alles. same size, better blend, more age.
the 07s gold medal, in my opinion, have been a throwback to the Lonsdale. and an unsuccessful one at that.
in terms of flavour, that is. they sold fantastically due to marketing and what have you.
But since the Bolivar Lonsdale is still available at 13 quid each, defo choose that one!Originally posted by ValeTudoGuyMarc's a Fat Molly

Newbie question alert but is the biggest deference between the BHK52 and the Esplendidos size or are they massively different in taste to?
And the million dollar question which is better?
Also I assume the 1966 is a different league altogether.

These have consistently been my best Bolivars. better than the Corona Extra (not aged like Simon's), better than every regional, better than even the 80s Royal Corona i've had a while back!!Originally posted by ValeTudoGuyMarc's a Fat Molly

i've always joked (with hints of seriousness) that the Behikes should not be considered Cohiba. they're almost no where near their ring gauge!!
they would be called Cohiba mainly to drive up the price and to increase their fame. other than that, it's not really Cohiba....... good cigars, though, don't get me wrong.
The esplendidos are pretty much quintessential Cohiba nowadays. the lanceros more so. But when you get a nice ripe Esplendido, you will be hit with that good smoke known to Cuba. BTO Jul 13s. If you're going to be buying UK prices for Cohiba, might as well get the good box code: BTO JUL 13.
1966 is indeed in a different league in itself. but that's already been discussed ad naseum! take a search for itOriginally posted by ValeTudoGuyMarc's a Fat Molly
