Cigar of month clubs?

Anyone in a cigar of the month club? are they any good or can anyone recommend one?

You can learn more, and get ideas on what to buy from the guys on this forum. More than you ever could from a company that want to send you random cigars.

Just my 2 cents.

I do like the idea of them, but I think it will take away the fun of looking online, browsing, reading up on a cigar I like the look of, and then having a heart attack when I see the total at the end.

I agree with what the guys above said, I am sure you would get better cigars recommended by this forum and save money as well
I am sure that a few guys on here were members a few years back maybe they was a thread if you can be assed to search

Some retailers run blind tasting bundles, I'm not sure how it works as I've never taken part but I assume they send a bundle of unbanded cigars to you and you need to guess what they are before the answer is revealed, not quite the same I know but probably more interesting

Could this work as a group buy? A short list is created and then a coordinator buys say 6 boxes and puts the required amount of bundles together.They then send them out ,everyone pays for there 'ukcf tasting pack' and agrees to smoke the same stick each month and report back about it.Ideally everyone will have a three day window two smoke the months stick in order to keep the thread current.
I know it's more effort than just ordering a pack but this way would alway people to share their favourites and make a more interesting and personal selection for other brothers.
