  • Keep cigars in their original box in the humidor?

I recently got a box of partagas series c no.3 edition limitada and was wondering should I keep them in their box and place them in the humidor or remove them from the box and place them in the humidor. Any advice greatly appreciated.

If it's a full box, I would keep them in the box and then decant into a singles Humi when I'm down to the
last few. Though I keep the couple boxes that I have in a cooler not a Humi.

    Hope that helps.

I agree, I find keeping in the boxes the sticks smell nicer

I have some of those, not had a chance to try one yet so it be good to get your thoughts when offer on up. My gut tells me it's a good cigar. I'm most exited about the LE Trinidad Robusto T so that's tonight's cigar choice. Party will have to wait a wee bit longer.

A very good cigar - had a good few now and yet to disappoint. I'd agree with the others - keep them in the box where possible, then only decant (like the phraseology VTG) the last two or three as singles.

              DECANTING CIGARS!!!!
[but seriously, I know what that means. just initially sounded funny]

Anyways, back to the original post: Aye. original box, cedar covering most surface as possible.
however, instead of decanting it off into a singles humidor, how about putting other Partagas ones INTO the box. that's what I've done with many of my boxes here...
