  • BEHIKE FEEDBACK/ADVICE

    Hi All,

I have only ever smoked the BHK52, and flipping love them!

Just wondering what peoples opinions are of the 54 and 56 (or also of the 52).

Has anyone tried all three, and if so, what are the differences?

    I am contemplating the 54...

    Many thanks!
    Simon

    HiSi,
posted this back in New Year's as i'm wondering what's up with them, too.

See if it answers any questions you have:

I'm with cigarmo, the 54 just edges it for me too. Agree that it's a difficult one to put into words, it just feels a little more complete - which is quite a feat considering I feel that the 52 is also one of the finest cigars I have ever smoked (as you'd bloody well hope for the price). I'm not normally one for massive cigars (and definitely not huge ring gauges... horrible American affectation in my book), but these are just so moreish that the extra time on the 54 is to be cherished.

With you on the Secretos - cracking little smoke (so good I've never seen the need to move up to the Magicos or Genios).

I had the 52 and the 54 and I felt the 52 was the better smoke for me. Just better all around to be honest, no one individual aspect just all of it that little bit better.

I have only had the 54, it was wonderful even a game changer at the time. Though it's been equalled and even beaten by cheaper sticks for me so it's not really a consideration for purchase ATM.

While it was a great cigar, its ?20+ even at cheap prices.

Dip 2 & 3 I enjoy Just as much, Monte 2 I enjoy just as much, Bolivar Demi Tasse (The one and only one I had.) Showed it a clean set of heels regarding complexity and flavour, ERDM Demi Tasse offers a more unique Flavour profile.

And guess what.... even at UK prices I can buy a Monte 2 a Dip 3 and an ERDM Demi Tasse and still have about ?3 change for the UK price of the BHK 54....

Frankly, I would be crazy to buy the BHK taking that into consideration.

The three sticks i would miss out on by buying it is like a dream day for me.

Wow need to try one of these, I recently got in a few boxes but I'm already planning to get a couple more! The next cohiba I am to buy would have to be the robusto though.

intresting point VTG as I'm often wondering where the increase in price stops reflecting the increase in quality. Eg a ?15 stick will beat a ?5 all day long but where is the next noticeable 'price point'

                      ATM purchase.......

                      Sorry

But seriously Marc, would you care to name one or two sticks that you would say compare to the BHK for less money? I have never had these and seriously considering a box of 52's. I know that Monte do a similar stick for less money, the eagle I think and the 520 edition limitada maybe. The former being less than a third of the price and the latter being cheaper by quite a bit too. I love finding this stuff out by trial and error but when the sticks are so expensive it can't hurt to get your opinion.
NC included if you like, the only NC I've personally had that really blew me away was an Ashton VSG Enchantment. I thought it gave most Cubans a run for their money.

Give me the secret man cub,
                      Clue me what to do,
give me the power of man's red flower and make my dreams come true.

Not had the 54 or 56, only the 52 which I thought was fine but not the best CC I've had or even the best Cohiba.

Price point. Thing to remember with buying Behike singles, one costs one tenth of the box price, but a ten box includes the cost of a pianolack box, felt bag and all the rest of the packaging paraphernalia. (Replica Behike 52 packaging (fake) can be bought from China for $39 per set). Behike singles are not the greatest deal.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

Thanks for that chap, sorry for not reading properly before asking you to elaborate! That's what you get for participating in a chat when you don't have time.
I think it would be fun to order one each of your suggestions and a bhk54 and have a hell of a fun educational day! That would have to be a day given completely over to the stix!
