I think the embargo will end soon(ish) - the communist government just doesn't seem as strong as it used to be and capitalism is starting to find its way in. I do agree that Castro will need to at least loose all influence before anything is likely to happen.
I do hope we won't see a reduction in quality control when the embargo is lifted though, but I suspect there will be
For anyone interested there was an interesting documentary on the BBC last year on changes and capitalism in Cuba

Well, brothers and sisters....as me americanos amigos often say (to those of us who have access to fine puros), "You've had a good run!"
And we sure did...Fifty plus years, to be exact.
Names Perro, el Perro, and I'm grateful for what we had.
Haha! What a "jack-ass" your are, dawg face. I ain't heard none of our yankee amigos say nothin' like that.
(Hurumph!) Well, they would if they'd put their fine puros down and say something.

I could be wrong as my understanding is limited but I understand (in the simplest sense) the embargo issue is mainly dominated by the strength of the anti-Castro ex-pat vote in Florida.
In other words if you want to win Florida you need to be pro-embargo.Originally posted by Simon BolivarLittle medical correction there Steve, you will surely die...but not from smoking these

Right or Wrong?
Originally posted by TJCoro View PostPerhaps, but more likely the reason the embargo remains in place, according to me amigos americanos, is nothing more than politics - The Cuban expats living in the US (mainly Florida) weild such clout that it would be political suicide to go against their interests, which is to keep the embargo in place.

Names Perro, el Perro, and redundency has no place on this forum.
Haha! It might be considered a so-called "redundent" post, if anyone ever bothered to READ your posts.sigpicVaya con Dios, Amigos! - don TJ and the Coros
