No discounts on Cigars?

I telephoned a well know cigar shop in London to ask about a certain CC. When the woman told me the rather exorbitant price, I mentioned I have seen the same Frankau EMS cigar advertised and in stock by another well know shop at a lower price, and would she be able to match that price. Her response was that it was "illegal" to give discounts on cigars in the UK! Surprising as I had already bought from that particular source special offers and discounted CC packs on more than one occassion.

Why did you try and order from one shop when you had seen them in stock for sale at another place. What cigars were you looking for?

and he got some rather rare stock as well, but they go pretty fast.

I've only used My Smoking Shop once but one thing it has over CGars (for me at least) is that they can tell me the date and factory codes of singles - being a bit of a geek I like to know and keep a note of it with all the tasting notes 😊

I'll certainly be using them more in future!

To answer some of the points. I was visiting London's West End anyway and thought it may be a good idea to visit that particular outlet, having dealt with them online previously. I am happy to tell which shop it is in a PM, I really don't think she meant it and although I found her attitude offhand and dismissive, I don't want to cause her personal embarrassment. I will certainly try Mysmokingshop and having had a look at their website can see some good prices. Thanks for your advice.

Sod the personal embarrassment, name and shame I say! I would have to guess Sautters as the only shop in which I've seen ladies was Davidoff which is not in the West End.
