Confused what wrong with my cigars?

I am smoking a H Upmann coronas major tubo. It was stored in my tubo humi at a constant 70rh. The problem is it seems a bit tight, i had a RyJ tubo from the same humi and it was also tight.
i cant tell if they are over or under humidified, they smell nice when opened and they feel hard with a little give not brittle at all. May be feel a little heavy but not spongey. The draw is getting tighter and needs two puffs to get anything from it but the burn is straight.

any suggestions brothers?

If you looked back over my recent posts I had three in a row from three different humidors that all failed then the next three were all good. I put it down to the risk I take smoking a handmade product. Like the man says, life is too short for a plugged cigar, bin it and move on.

Further to that Mark and I often smoke a pair of the same cigars from the same humidor and our burn experience is nearly always different.

Have you tried dry boxing or storing at 65? I have found far fewer draw problems since I started storing at lower humidity

On the other hand you could have just been unlucky with those two cigars, have you noticed any problems with any of the others?

I hadn't smoked much from the tubos for a while, they were good a couple of months ago. I could open them all and see how they feel?

If your having difficulty with tight or poor burn try storing at 60/65% or try dry boxing.

For me 70 is a touch high, try to aim for 65ish and see if things improve for you.

As said it could well just be bad luck.

65 gets the vote from me too , although you could go down the dryboxing route as mentioned before.

Lift the lid slightly, a matchstick for a spacer is an old trick for this. Allows for a gradual change.

I use 65% heartfelt beads in my humidor and they work really well regulating the humidity so I am not having to check things on a daily basis.They are pretty expensive but worth it in my opinion.
