Auction in Montrose

I live near Montrose so I popped over to Taylor's to see, amongst other things, if I could pick up the Partagas Cristal Tubos for a snip. The opening bid was ?1000....I of course, crapped out lol

The picture shows 10 sticks but some tooloid dropped one yesterday, stood on it and smashed the tube and ruined the cigar.... painful and expensive as the last time Mitch auctioned them, they went for ?2400 or thereabouts

I should say the ?1000 opening bid was a internet commissioned bid so who knows what it finally went for as there may have been quite a few commissioned bids so the final winner would be decided behind the scenes (if I'm understanding the bidding process properly?!)

Frank Zappa and the Mothers were at the best place in town, till some stupid with a flare gun (jet flame?) burned the place to the ground (after stepping on a cigar probably)

No it was before the opus. I really want another was planning to drive to liverpool just to get some but i think they close early on weekends

If the opening bid was 1000 that was the winner out of the commission bids so unless anyone in the room bid more that would have been where it finished
