I have had to use this trick once (& was grateful for the tip) with the RA X LE 2011, but otherwise never bothered by it. Is it I wonder do to smoking too green cigars ie anything under at least 12months after release? I rarely smoke anything under 3yo & mostly my stock is now 5yo+. Try giving them more time to age & mellow & perhaps this problem will disappear?
Has anyone else smoked cigarettes previously? I was quite a heavy smoker until about 5 years ago - maybe that is the reason I never suffer from a nicotine hit (although there was a big gap between quitting cigarettes and starting on cigars...)

Anyway, back to topic, I never eat while I'm smoking a cigar, I've always associated cigars with something to do after eating, although I do often enjoy something afterward (I do love a yoghurt after a cigar!)

I will eat when I smoke cigars some times. It does not really matter what is around. Mostly it will be something deep fried.
You are correct on the Kinder Egg thing. They are not legal here in the US. It stems from a FDA regulation in 1938. In a nutshell you can't put a non edible substance inside a confectionery product. Yes, border patrol will take them! See the link below.
