I didn't expect so many to be eating and smoking, but I don't know why I thought that.
Think yourself lucky, Kinder eggs are apparently banned in the States so Sears can't share the enjoyment. Might have to send him a cream egg instead.

The one and only time I smoked and only drank water made me so damned ill, definitely have to have something sweet. But then I do wonder how that effects the taste if the cigar?

If there are some snacks about I might help myself but don't really pair food with my cigars and never smoke on an empty stomach

Always a sweet drink and often chocolate just to keep my sugar levels up and the nicotine down.

I personally think chocolate compliments a cigar, also the sweentness can counter any effect of nicotene!

I know cigars, especially Havanas, aren't about getting a nicotine hit but I do wonder why so many of you mention cokes & chocolate to conteract the nicotine. I have had to use this trick once (& was grateful for the tip) with the RA X LE 2011, but otherwise never bothered by it. Is it I wonder do to smoking too green cigars ie anything under at least 12months after release? I rarely smoke anything under 3yo & mostly my stock is now 5yo+. Try giving them more time to age & mellow & perhaps this problem will disappear?

That's certainly a very valid point. Most of my cigars are very young as I've not really been smoking cigars for all that long, and that I can't really afford a big buy on an aged box.

I smoked a Hoyo Du Dauphin from 1998 and it made my head spin. To be fair I had eaten that day but not much.

I remember an RyJ wide churchill that I lit at the same time as lighting my bbq for dinner, I had to go and get sugary drink and leave the cigar until I had eaten.

Live and you learn, don't smoke on an empty stomach really now.

I'm always amazed at the old hands smoking three or four in an evening. Two in a day is pushing it for me.

The only time I have had a N problem was after smoking a bolivar in the morning on a nearly empty stomach I was dizzy for the rest of the day everytime i stood up i got dizzy and no amount of sugar would make it stop. Put me off bolivars for some time

I just eat while smoking because i like to eat
