Your favourite Coronas Gorda .... and why?

To be honest this is not a size I'm that experienced with. I've only tried a few, I like Punch Punch and so far have found the Upmann Mag 46 to be the most approachable. There are plenty of others .... your views and ideas please.

I've had a Mag 46 and found it a good smoke. Not had the punch Arf so can't comment on that one.

Have bought boxes of both and think the Mag46 is up there with the best - definitely one of my go to smokes. There is not a lot of difference in smoking time between a corona Gorda and a Robusto, so well worth exploring further - don't think I've been let down by any that I have tried.

I've smoked more Mag46 than any other smoke. TBH, the gorda is a perfect size for me

The JL1 s another excellent smoke, being quite different to the JL2

I've only just discovered the SLR Serie A and went through a fiver in a fortnight (I only smoke at the weekend)

The only gorda I've not gotten on with is the Punch Punch but only because the construction has been utter pish

Oh, and RA superiores is excellent too

Yep, Used to enjoy the Black Prince, discontinued now of course. Guess I don't smoke many of this size, perhaps surprisingly few but my fav would be RG Coronas X, it's an unpretentious smoke but good value & consistant. Like the Mag No 46 too but haven't had one for ages. Mr Frank once told me that the Mag 46 was the fav of this size in Belgium.

I like my SLR Serie A. I have had the Mag 46 several times and it just didn't hit the spot for me. JL1 is nice as I had one on Tuesday, but I still like the SLR better. I also got to smoke some RG Coronas Extra and found them to be a nice bang for the buck.

Punch Punch for me - I have always known it as a Corona Extra (because I try to resist the correct / Spanish names). Personally it is just about the perfect size cigar.

Awww man, that must have been hard to take.... I get the "Life's too short" thing but a whole box???? I would have been stabbing them with pins and everything to try and get them to smoke!

i've always made plugged cigars work. besides, the ol' meerschaum holders will make above-shoulder cutting much easier!

I tried everything mate....pins, draw-poker, leaving out the humi to dry out a bit and I had to bin most of them. Have you ever had a good one?
